Rectangular prism (with coating) (Part Numbers)
[Features]
· A right angle prism is used for bending light 90° or 180°.
· The function is the same as a mirror, but by using a prism for the reflective function, in general, systems can be made more compact. Also, since the mirrored surface features a protective coating, degradation of the imaging performance due to dust and scratches is minimized.
· Caution is needed when using for white light, since chromatic aberration may occur due to the dispersion properties of the material (wavelength dependence of the refractive index).
· Divided into B and C types depending on the difference in the coating applied to each surface of the prism.
