[Structure and Features]
· The spherical plain bearing is a self-aligning plain bearing designed for heavy loads. The inner and outer rings are made from high-carbon chromium bearing steel that is hardened, ground, phosphate-coated and seized with molybdenum disulfide (MoS2). The SA1 model can bear large radial loads and thrust loads in both directions. Furthermore, as it is highly impact resistant, the spherical plain bearing is most suited for low speed, heavy load rocking components such as the cylinder clevises or hinges of construction and civil engineering machinery, truck suspensions, and train bolster anchors.
[Types and Features]
· The SA1 model of the series is popular in Europe. The outer ring is split at one point and is narrower and thinner than the SB model, so it can be used in small spaces. Models with dust seals on both sides (SA1-UU) are also available. These seals are highly effective at keeping out dust.
