[Secure mating is achieved with a mechanically based complete mating method]
· A mechanical full mating system where the repulsive force of a coil spring built-in to the socket housing pushes out the socket housing if the connector is not fully mated is used. Structure allows verification of secure fitting.
[Seal ring provides a waterproof structure when fitted]
· The socket connector includes a seal ring attached to the mating part. The ring acts as an environmental barrier that protects against external water, oil, dust, and other potential contaminants when the product is fitted.
[Grommet provides a highly reliable waterproof structure on the cable side]
· The cable extraction element is a batch waterproof type that employs a grommet. Furthermore, a rear cover on the outside of the grommet improves waterproofing reliability during cable shifting.
[Loss of contact is prevented by a double locking structure]
· Contact retention with the housing is achieved via a primary housing lance lock, and a secondary locking mechanism comprised of a retainer that attaches to the socket side after contact insertion, along with a front cap. These locking mechanisms securely prevent loss of contact due to vibration or pulling. Additionally, the retainer and front cap are structured in such a way that they cannot be set in the locking position unless the contact is completely inserted. This enables detection of partial insertion of the contact.
[High-reliability socket contacts]
· Contacts are of a box type that can withstand the effects of deformation and other problems caused by external forces. The contacts include a spring structure with two long stacked beams. This provides a high level of reliability and enables secure and stable contact.
[Internal short contact that prevents malfunctions]
· The pin side corresponds to a short (short circuit) contact internal type. Product malfunctions caused by static electricity or other factors can be prevented by shorting the contact in an unmated state. This shorting function is deactivated by mating the socket connector.
