Cleaning rags are pieces of clothes or rags that are used at low costs for the purpose of wiping up dirt, oil and impure substances on machines, etc. Their materials are basically categorized into fabric-made type including non-woven products and paper-made. And as for fabric-made products, cleaning rags made with new fabrics and used fabrics are on sale. Generally, cleaning rags made with used fabrics are said to have superior water absorption properties, but in the case of using unbleached cleaning rags, it is necessary to pay attention to color transfer. Bleached white cleaning rags are usable in a wide range of applications thanks to no need of worrying about color transfer and to easy dirt check. The primary types of these rags are knitted cleaning rags, linen cleaning rags and towel cleaning rags. Paper-made type has less durability than fabric-made type does, but is more hygienic and unlikely to generate fuzz and dust thus most suitable for use with precision equipment or at medical facilities, food-related factories, etc. Also, space-saving and easy-to-install/dispense rolled type is on sale.

· Cotton is the raw material, so it can absorb and retain water excellently up to about 13 times its own weight. The fabric itself has some moisture content so it is unlikely to generate static electricity.
· Materials buried in ground returns to soil due to biodegradation by bacteria.
· Made of continuous long filament, thus lint peeling and falling from the edge or surface is minimal.
