Small AC Motors（Electromagnetic Brakes, Clutches：Electromagnetic Brakes）

A key characteristic of compact AC motors is their ability to obtain power just by connecting a capacitor to them and supplying power from a commercial power supply. They are suited for applications operated continuously at a fixed speed, such as for rotating conveyor rollers and as power for driving fans. Using a controller to adjust the frequency enables products such as variable speed motors with speeds that can be changed, and reversible motors with operation directions that can be easily changed with a switch. Special gear heads for increasing torque are also available, enabling selection of the model best suited to the mounting environment.
