Testers

Testers are small devices that can measure current, voltage or resistance values. They can be used to check the voltage of a power outlet or determine whether an electrical circuit is open. The measurement item can be selected with a rotary switch and products can be selected according to the application. A function is included that also enables the sustained display of measurement values by using operation keys. Another feature is that the terminal into which the measurement cable is inserted varies according to the measurement item. The two main types are analog types that display measurement values with a pointer and digital types that display values with numbers. Other types include slim and compact types that can fit into a pocket, types with a stand at the rear that enables them to be stood up, and types with a backlit LCD area.
