Ducts/Wiremolds

Wire ducts and cable raceways contain and protect wiring and cables in their layout. Wire ducts differ from cable raceways in that they are slotted, but both are used in similar applications. Cables can be passed through the slots in the duct, allowing for a flexible wiring design. Ducts used for wiring moving light fixtures are called "lighting tracks" and "lighting rails". Cable raceways are unslotted covers that wrap around the wiring. Raceways are available in straight, L-shaped and U-shaped types and can be used to wire cables to fit the room. Wire ducts and cable raceways allow safe wiring of LAN cables, telephone lines, etc. Halogen-free products are often used in consideration of environmental impact.
